Giving sacrificially is scary.  When we knew that God wanted us at Good Shepherd, we took the position at less than 1/2 of our income in California.  Some of our living costs here are lower, but many are actually higher (especially medical bills).

But, Good Shepherd is where Jesus Christ wants us to serve.  We have given up things like beauty salons and gym memberships,  but are finding great joy in the life of this church.

Because we value Good Shepherd - that's all of you! - we had a family meeting and are going to make a 33% increase in our giving as a capital campaign pledge.  This will mean we are giving "four pledges in three years."  Yes, it is a bit scary, but we know that God is going to bless this church as we all find ways to make sacrifices for one another.

May Jesus, the Good Shepherd who laid down his life for his flock, help us all to take up his example of loving sacrifice and do abundant ministry in His Name!
